Tuis

There is a lot of activity in the cherry tree across the road from our school.
Everyday more and more tuis are visiting the tree to get the sweet nectar.
Look out for tuis in the spring. They have a lovely song to listen to as well.

We have noticed even more signs of spring.
On the footpath by our school, the trees are in blossom.
Watch as the new leaves also appear.

We noticed all the blossoms in a tree across the road from our school.
While we were observing a tui came to drink the nectar.

Watch out for the tuis as they love the nectar.
The pohutukawa are known as New Zealand's Christmas tree.

Term 3 events

 At the end of term 3 we had our cross country day. We all ran as fast as we could. Edwina was the winner of the 5 year old girls. It was also the beginning of spring. We did a school walk to look for signs of spring.
