The enormous turnip

The old man grew a turnip so enormous,  large, huge,  big as, giant that he needed lots of help.
We acted out the story.
It is good to help each other to get things done.

The elves and the shoemaker

We can all help each other in different ways.
If you help someone then one day someone will help you.
We designed and created some beautiful shoes just like the elves.

Jack and the beanstalk

We acted out the story of Jack and the beanstalk.
Jack's mum was angry and threw the beans out.
Jack climbed the beanstalk where he found a castle belonging to a giant.
Fee fi fo fum I smell the blood of an English man. Be he alive or be he dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread!
Jack took the treasure and chopped down the beanstalk.

We had to hold on tight to the Gingerbread men in case they ran away.
Yum they were delicious!

Why didn't the Gingerbread Man swim across the river?
We now know why!
Look what happened to the gingernut biscuit when it was put in the water.
It became soft, squishy,  gooey,  slimy, disgusting and yucky.
Is that why we sometimes dunk hard biscuits in our drinks?

The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

We were all actors today and told the story by being the characters in the story.
The biggest billy goat was the bravest and butted the troll into the river.
Look at our scary troll faces.
